Limassol Mayor Andreas Christou received on Friday morning the Guinness Record certificate from the President of the Festival Organising Committee Antonis Hadjipavlou.
Christou expressed his joy and satisfaction for the record noting that Cyprus is a country with a centuries old tradition in viniculture.
Guinness World Records representative Annabel Lawdy expressed her happiness for being in Cyprus to confirm another record.
The record for the largest wine glass was previously held by Lebanon for a vessel measuring 1.51 metres in height and 1.46 metres at its widest point."
