Aggeliki sotiriou monument Kivides
The bronze bust is dedicated to Angeliki Sotiriou "Filimon" and is supported on a marble slab and stones. The unveiling took place in 1990.The bust is located on the main street of the community of Pano Kyvidon in the Limassol district.
It is the creation of sculptor Nikolaos Kotziamanis. The artist Nikolaos Kotziamanis was born in 1946 in Morphou. After graduating from Morphou High School, he went to England to study. He lives and works there to this day.
He participated in many group exhibitions in England, America, Paris and other countries. Many of his sculptures adorn many cities in Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Cuba and other countries abroad. The woman, Ageliki sotiriou, used to own a coffee shot where travellers would rest and have their coffee. Few, however, knew that Angeliki, who served the patrons like a syphon, was a fearless woman who hid guerrillas and munitions in her home during the EOKA liberation struggle.

Vounin tis rkas
Small hill in the Alykos area with a very characteristic shape.
It is said, according to popular tradition, that it was a pile of wheat (consistent with the euphoria of the area) that belonged to a stingy old woman (rka).
When, according to the myth, Jesus Christ was passing through the area and asked her for some wheat, she refused.
That is why the Lord cursed her by transforming the wheat into soil. At the top of the hill, the old woman's sieve can be seen upside down.

A walk through the line, 2017 CHIHARU SHIOTA
Chicaru's red string installation is part of a giant visual art exhibition ‘Terra Mediterranea: In Action’, where local and international artists consider Mediterranean identity.
The string net aims to show the complexity of Mediterranean politics, history and identity. Yep fairly complicated stuff.
Set up in the Fabrica Hill cave, it took 12 people working full time for 2 weeks to complete the project. (They still have red string nightmares).
