 Dedicated to the mythical person of Lazarus that was raised from the dead by Jesus. It is believed by Christians that his tomb is inside the church. For more info, go here:

chirokitia fire aftermath

at 19 june of summer 2013, a huge fire broke out at chirokitia village/area. Houses and lives were in danger and the ancient site as well. As you drive from larnaca to limassol you can even see where the fire crossed the street

McKenzy beach at Larnaca is the best place for plane spotters. You can watch planes take off and land. Now with the new airport I don't know if you can still see them land though...
