Fassuri reed beds

Site description (2000 baseline)
An extensive area of reedbeds (Phragmites) and water-meadows (unique in Cyprus), adjacent to Akrotiri salt-lake.

Key biodiversity
A very important stop-over site during spring and autumn migration; also important for winter visitors. Bird data are averaged for 1990-1995, although many more species are recorded every year, ranging from raptors and large waterbirds to small warblers (Sylviidae) and finches (Fringillidae). Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crexGallinago media (both passage).

scuba diving at Shark's cove part 1

currently my underwater photo equipment is not very good, but I still take pictures untill I can afford a better one.

"Don't Panic! It used to be called Fisherman's Cove and sharks, fortunately, have never been seen here. This is a spectacular cove on the Akrotiri Peninsula with a submerged tunnel which starts and ends the dive. The dive takes you along a cliff face before circling a rocky reef bottom."
