"The coast is basically a continuation of Governor’s Beach, preserving the same features, with the distinctive, white rocks creating an ideal contrast with the blues of the sea. Apart from this beach, which is suitable for swimming and enjoying the facilities of the beachside restaurant, the visitors will also find smaller coves, a bit more difficult to reach, but perfect for lonely moments within the nature.

Those who like camping are frequent visitors in this area, for a night and a sunrise by the waves. The small coves between the white rocks provide some quiet and exclusive time, as well as undisrupted views to the open sea.

The beach of Agios Georgios Alamanos can be reached after taking the exit with the same name, from the highway, heading to the monastery. After a 3-minute distance, the road leads to the white rock coast."

At the National Forest Park of Troodos, we meet two rare natural habitats protected by the European Natura 2000 network, as they are unique in their kind across Europe. To them we find peat bogs, which are nothing more than plant remains that do not rot in the water. Peat bogs meet in wet meadows and grow in caves that flood during winter but remain muddy and wet in the summer.

Apostle Andreas chapel at Polystipos

"The only chapel in Polystipos that still remains is the chapel dedicated to Apostle Andreas.

It is located outside of the village, on the north, almost 300 meters away from the exit of the village, near the road leading to the neighboring village of Levadia and to Nicosia.

It is the ultimate relic of an ancient monastery dedicated to Apostle Andreas in Polystipos as it was known. "

Archangel Michael church at Pedoulas

""This timber-roofed church is the most important landmark of the community, situated a short distance to the northeast of the Proodos Timiou Stavrou church, opposite the Byzantine Museum. The church is included in the Unesco list of World Heritage Monuments.

The wall paintings include depictions from the life cycle of the Madonna and Christ, the Divine Passion, scenes inspired by the Old Testament and portraits of saints. Particularly impressive is the larger-than-life wall painting of Archangel Michael on the northern wall bearing a sword.

The iconostasis of the church is of particular significance, bearing written decoration which dates to the 15th century. Besides the two-headed eagle the coat of arms of the Lusignans Kings of Cyprus is depicted on the screen.

The church celebrates on 8 November (Synaxis ton Asomaton feast) and on 6 September (Archangel Michael’s miracle at Chones).

Opened daily 10.30am - 16.50pm. Entrance is free. Donations however are welcomed."

The Venetian bridge at Kalopanayiotis

"The Venetian bridge constructed in traditional stone masonary consists of a single span arch and dates back to the Venetian times (16th century).

Until recently it served as the only access between the village and the monastery.

Nearby is the point where, according to tradition, St. Paul and St. Barnabas baptized St. Heracledios the first Bishop of Cyprus."
