Koulas at Alaminos, Larnaca

"Koulas" is considered as a 15th century structure and is an oblong, parallelepiped, stone-made castle. It was used by the village's inhabitants, during the old times, so as to observe their enemies coming from the sea and confront them. It was a significant structure for the village's inhabitants, since there were underground tunnels and paths that led from the village to the sea.

Limassol's flower festival

"Yermasoyia celebrates the arrival of springtime with its annual flower market on Saturday and Sunday, at the Yermasoyia river banks (in Yermasoyia tourist area) and spectacular parade of flower decorated floats (on Sunday, at 6 pm in Georgios A’ Avenue, Yermasoyia tourist area)."

unfortunately, in order to "Save money", this year's flower festivaldidn't include a parade and the festival itself was a couple of stores in the germasoyia parking. So the pictures are from previous years

Found at the bottom of a beautiful limestone cliff, right below the kourion ancient site.

The Amathus Gate cemetery. Stone-cut cists, used for small numbers of burials, are cut into the heavily quarried site of older chamber tombs, the arcosolia of which are visible in the background
